"Write Me A Song" to be a part of "The Red Album of Asbury Park Remixed" Soundtrack!

Hello Lovelies !
I want to tell you something that I am so honored to be a part! I am going to be a part of my very first Book Soundtrack!!
I was recently approached by author Alex Austin (a Los Angeles-based novelist and playwright), to use my song "Write Me a Song" , as part of his book soundtrack. His book, titled "The Red Album of Asbury Park Remixed" is about 22-year-old musician Sam Nesbitt, who escaped a corrupt and dead-end life in "The Perfume Factory," and struggles to rid himself of his personal demons, past and present, as he pursues a rock 'n' roll dream against the backdrop of Asbury Park, NJ. "The Red Album of Asbury Park Remixed" is the sequel to Austin's critically acclaimed novel "The Perfume Factory", a coming-of-age story set on the Jersey Shore.

I am SO excited to announce that THIS FRIDAY NIGHT , August 6, 2010, 10pm to Midnight , Alex will be interviewed on-air in the studio of WRSU-FM, to WRSU 88.7 FM , Rutgers University, by Geoffrey Pape. The show is called Overnight Sensations , and is also available at www.nj.com/wrsu .
They will be talking about the novel, "The Red Album of Asbury Park Remixed", and the upcoming podcast. The show will feature songs from the podcast, including “Write Me a Song". (he's using it with Chapter 2)

So this was a request , so I am finally posting it ! This song was written about 2 years ago , and it was pretty much written from a personal experience, watching a good friend go in a downward spiral of self destruction. Here are the lyrics:

Also this is the first song I have ever played the Ukulele on, my dad got me one for Christmas, so I really wanted to put it to use already. I think it adds a nice whimsical touch to the lullaby :-)

Lonely Summer

This song was actually written two summers ago and I guess you can say it's about a summer fling gone bad. The catch is that the fling is with someone that was originally just a friend, so in the bridge when I say "I know I shouldn't feel regret, but I do" it is meaning that normally I wouldn't regret just the fling itself, but I do because I have lost that friendship in return.... Someone who once called you all the time to hang out, or confides in you about other people, now shuts off all communication to you. So here it is ....

This song was written about 2 summers ago. It's about going from being really close with someone to practically not even knowing them at all, but still being able to read through all the awkwardness and calling them out on acting weird, and telling them that you are there for them , when they are ready to stop acting like a victim.

Dreamworld

So this song I wrote awhile ago, and played about half of it live once. The basic concept of the song is kind of about having a falling out with someone and then having continuous dreams about them, but in the dream everything between you two is perfectly fine. And the song is saying that you don't want to stop dreaming because in that world , that is the only time when everything is ok, and you just want things to go back to that. So here it is....
I'd like to add a lyric in the bridge, but I'm not sure if it needs it... I guess that's something I will worry about in production. The sound of this song was inspired by Plumb.

Well this was a song I wrote about a year ago, and it's def one of the favorites that I've written with it's driving melody and big chorus. It's def a song I can belt live, and it just feels good whenever I do it. I think the lyrics really paint a picture for you . The rhythm of this song was inspired after I covered The Cranberrie's "Zombie" for my youtube channel. I mean, it's not exact , but it def was inspired....
